Terms of Service
Rules for using SpendPilot’s website, free audit, and product.
Last updated: 31 July 2026
Agreement
By accessing SpendPilot’s website, requesting a free audit, creating an account, or using the product, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use SpendPilot on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
The service
SpendPilot provides FinOps tooling to help detect AWS, Azure, and GCP waste, assign owners, track approvals, and verify savings. Scanning is read-only by default. Optional approve-then-delete (AWS EBS/EIP/snapshots; Azure disks/public IPs; GCP remediation later) only runs after an engineer confirms on an opted-in account. You remain responsible for changes your team makes in the cloud.
Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your organisation’s accounts and for inviting only authorised teammates.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service (including probing beyond authorised cloud accounts, attempting to bypass security, abusing APIs, or using SpendPilot to violate law). We may suspend access for abuse, non-payment, or risk to the platform or other customers.
Cloud access
Connecting AWS requires credentials or a role you control. Connecting Azure requires a service principal you control on the target subscription. Connecting GCP requires a service account you control on the target project. You warrant that you are authorised to grant that access. Secrets are used only for agreed scanning, cost sync, and opt-in remediation as described on our Security page.
Plans, fees, and taxes
Paid plans and one-time engagements are described on the Pricing page and in-app Billing. Prices may be shown in USD, INR, or other currencies; the amount charged is the one confirmed at checkout or invoice. Applicable taxes (including GST in India or VAT/sales tax elsewhere) may be added as required by law. Manual or automated invoices may be issued for paid plans.
Audit guarantee
Where we offer a free audit guarantee (for example at least $300/year or ₹25,000/year in realistic savings), the guarantee applies to identifying realistic savings opportunities under the stated conditions—not to guaranteeing that your team will implement every finding or that future bills will drop by a fixed amount.
Intellectual property
SpendPilot, its branding, software, and documentation remain our property. You retain ownership of your cloud data and content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the service.
Confidentiality
Each party will protect the other’s confidential information with reasonable care and use it only for performing under these terms, except where disclosure is required by law.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation or that recommendations will achieve any particular savings outcome. Savings estimates are informational.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpendPilot is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Our aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid to us for the service in the three months before the claim (or zero if you use only free features).
Indemnity
You will indemnify SpendPilot against claims arising from your misuse of the service, your cloud changes, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.
Termination
You may stop using the service and request account closure. We may terminate or suspend access for breach or operational necessity. Provisions that by nature should survive (including liability limits and confidentiality) will survive termination.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to SpendPilot’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer or data-protection law in your country requires otherwise. Courts in that jurisdiction have exclusive venue, subject to those mandatory rights.
Changes
We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. Material changes to paid plans will be communicated reasonably in advance when practical.
